If you were living in a home and the police took over your home and gave it to me. What would you do? Suppose I gave you and your family the basement to live in, but you can’t come out of the basement without being searched? So you decide to regain your home, but to your dismay the police are alongside me in keeping you in the basement. We take hold of your weapons, so as to discourage you from contemplating any uprising. And you must face your family daily. They live in the worse conditions. They have diseases with no medicine, they relieve themselves in the same place that they eat, they and you are illiterate. You feel if your home was taken by force, then it should be retrieved by force. In desperation, you fight with rocks, but I use a shotgunand I shot you down. My every action is sanctioned by the police and by my God. WHAT WOULD YOU DO? WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
It has long been the Muslim’s claim that Palestine was unjustifiably taken from the Palestinians. Those who are pro-Israel say that Palestine was not a state because it did not have a name at the time. Is my house, not a house, if I don’t have an address number? The Palestinian Muslims, Jews and Christians were all living on this land, when it was made legal for every Jew on earth to come and live in Palestine. The Jews of Germany were not the only Jews given shelter in Palestine, but all Jews from everywhere. Should not GERMANY be a better place where the Jews should be arbitrarily given land, since this is the place that the Holocaust victims were uprooted? Would it be permissible for the Native Americans to decide to reclaim their land from Americans and place us in concentration camps? Simply because you use to own a certain land does not automatically give you a right to indict the current residents, especially when the current residents were not the people who uprooted you. I never took anything from a Native American. They were displaced hundreds of years ago, whereas the Jews were displaced THOUSANDS of years ago. Like the Native Americans, the Palestinians were put in concentration camps, but Palestinians never discontinued the fight to reclaim their property. Therefore the inhabitants of their land are occupying it, while the war is still being waged.
